The Nijmegen Centre for Molecular Life Sciences (NCMLS) represents a centre of excellence in the Netherlands with a focus on molecular medicine, cell biology and translational research. The NCMLS accommodates research groups from  the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre (RUNMC) and the Faculty of Science at the Radboud University Nijmegen (RU).

Towards the end of each year we organise an international ‘New Frontiers’ symposium across one of three thematic areas of NCMLS with the intention of exploring the newest scientific research and pioneering developments. These ‘New Frontiers’ symposia are highly successful with fruitful discussions on the latest developments in the chosen field in front of a large international audience. The NCMLS has attracted two Nobel prize winners in the last three years and aims to continue its trend in organising top symposia of interest to scientists of all levels, from Masters’ students through to PhD’s and post-doctoral researchers, senior professors and clinicians alike. The successful format attracted more than 350 attendees in 2008 and grew to nearly 400 participants in 2009. An associated Masterclass given by invited speakers is organized yearly for or Masters in Mechanisms of Disease Students (MMD) fulfils our ambition in giving top quality education.

This website is set-up to profile NCMLS and our ‘New Frontiers’ symposia, and give thanks to our sponsors. It is regularly updated with information relevant to upcoming symposia as well as serving as an archive for past events.
