Nijmegen PhD Council PON

The Nijmegen PhD Council PON (Promovendi Overleg Nijmegen) is the consultative body for all PhD students of the Radboud University Nijmegen (Medical Centre). PON's three main objectives are to inform PhD students about their rights as PhD students and the procedures with regard to obtaining a PhD, to organise social activities for PhD students, and to promote the interests of Nijmegen PhD students in the university's Works Council (OR or Ondernemingsraad). The PON also helps with practical matters related to living and working in Nijmegen. For more information, please visit www.ru.nl/pon/english/

International office

The International Office is the university's main body to stimulate internationalisation in the broadest sense of the word. Activities of the international office include the collaboration with international academic partners, development and administration of the network, exchange programme administration, international mobility, development co-operation, and housing for international guests. Doctoral regulations

All NCMLS PhD students should follow the regulations as laid out by the Radboud University Nijmegen Doctoral Regulations. In these regulations, conditions for obtaining a PhD and guidelines for the public defence of the doctoral thesis are given. It also contains specific instructions on the procedure regarding the request to defend the doctoral thesis, the thesis layout and the protocol to be followed during the graduation ceremony For more information, please see

Reimbursement of thesis printing costs

For NCMLS PhD students, the Radboud University Nijmegen regulations for the reimbursement of thesis printing costs apply. Requests for reimbursement should be handed in within six months after the costs have been incurred. The maximum of reimbursement is 2,200 EUR for each PhD student.
